Welcome to CER

  The College of Environment and Resources (CER) is a recently founded discipline, approved by the university’s authority in May 2003. However, some of departments of the college are as old as the university itself and will celebrate their creation for 50 years in October 2008. The college consists of three departments — Environmental Science and Engineering, Safety Technology and Engineering, and Resources and Urban Rural Planning; three institutes — Environment and Resources, Geoinformation Science and Technology, and Civil Engineering; and one Laboratory Center. The college brings together an active community of students, scholars, and technologists concerned with environment, resources and many related aspects. The college is the largest in its field in this province. The college currently has 639 undergraduate students, 132 postgraduate students, and 57 faculty and staff members.

   The college is currently located on the main campus of the Fuzhou University, and is headquartered in the Environmental and Resources Building, suited on west campus. The building serves as the places for administration, laboratories, library, seminar, staff offices, as well as teaching. However, as the fast expansion of student numbers, a new campus of the university is under construction in Shangjie area, 11 km west to the current campus, and will be completed by the coming September. Therefore, the college will move to the new campus soon.
